This is our solution to fill the space allocated for a second battery under the bonnet of the Next-Gen Ranger & Everest. Designed for an easy install & purpose built. We used a Delkor HDC27 100 A/H Max dimensions 330L x 180W x 200H to the top in the middle, posts can be higher as they sit off the the side, the washer bottle interferes with the middle which creates this height restriction. see link below. This tray also suits other batteries including lithium, which have a max height of 190mm.
Please note, any battery higher than 190mm will raise the washer bottle filler and slow down the filling process. The filler will sit on an angle and rest on the battery but this won't impede its function.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges
We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs & a 20% restocking/admin fee.
If the item has been fitted, damaged or marked in any way we will not be able to process a refund.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at sales@piratecampco.com.au with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.

The bracket install is DIY-friendly. However, the electrical connections to a secondary battery should be completed by a qualified auto electrician.
How good is our Under Bonnet Auxiliary Battery Mount for Ford Ranger/Everest 2022+/Volkswagen Amarok 2023+?
Installed the battery tray over the weekend and it went smoother than I expected. I managed to install the bracket on my own without needing to remove the inner guard (did it all via the engine bay).
It’s very well made and comes with all the components needed to suit a couple of different battery sizes.
Pleasingly it fits an Itechworld 160ah 160XPro battery with Redarc alpha 50 and Victron 300A IP66 shunt on top, however a shorter 90mm long windscreen washer bottle filler (Hogg3d) is required and some careful arrangement of components to avoid clashing with the bonnet.
The only improvement that would be good to see is a larger plate on the battery hold down clamp to fit more gear. This is easy enough to solve with some aluminium flatbar.

Install was a mare…
I can clearly see that this is a solidly manufactured product. However… the install was a nightmare.
The long double plate nut holder was almost impossible to get into position. Especially once the first one was already in place. I think these two are the wrong way around in the video. The video shows a design of Mount that just isn’t true relative to the one received (connection to the washer bottle side), but thankfully it’s relatively straightforward to see what goes where. Also, the amount of force to get the bolts to line up was mad.
On the plus side, the video certainly was useful for showing what needed taken out, and how to sort all the stuff out.
In the whole - I think that this is a solidly made product, but the install I think needs work, and I wonder if it’s just not quite accurate for a vehicle that was from the early runs of the factory floor. (I got my car at the very start of 2023)
